Meet Charleston Optometrist, Dr. Michele Donovan
Dr. Michele Donovan started Visionary Eye Center in February 2004. She is inside the Pearle Vision. Dr. Donovan offers:
- Primary Care Optometry
- Treatment of Glaucoma
- Treatment of Dry Eye
- Treatment of Eye Infections
- Foreign Body Removal
- Contact Lens Fittings
- Pediatric/Binocular Exams
- Infant See Exams
- Co-management of Lasik/Cataract surgeries
Dr. Donovan graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University), in Philadelphia. She also earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Visual Science while there. Her undergraduate work was completed at Wilkes University, Wilkes Barre. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Donovan is currently serving on the South Carolina Optometric Physicians board, Past-President for 2021-2022. She served as President from 2020-2021. She has served as member for the past 6 years. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association, the Coastal Carolina Optometric Society, and the Georgia Optometric Association. She served as the Public Relations chair for SCOPA from 2008-2011. She also was an officer of CCOS from 2005-2008, serving as President 2007-2008.
Dr. Donovan loves to work out, and spend time with family and friends in her spare time. She loves to travel when she can.
